Concert restart vol. 3

It is with great relief that the Norwegian concert scene is reopening again. Lockdown hit us hard in December, cancelling all scheduled concerts being the third lockdown since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

And I really cannot wait to perform again: Already next week I am embarking on a concert tour across South-East Norway celebrating Johannes Brahms’ and Clara and Robert Schumann’s Liebeslieder, a true Valentine’s Programme, together with the wonderful singers Isa Katharina Gericke, Melis Jaatinen, Magnus Staveland and Halvor Festervoll Melien as well as Finnish pianist Juho Alakärppä, whom I will perform piano four-hands together with.

The following week I will be performing in Sweden on a tour with violinist Philip Zuckerman, in an all-American programme with works by Zwilich, Beach, Copland and Gershwin (the same programme as we toured with last autumn) — before heading to Reykjavik, Iceland for a recital with tenor Kolbeinn Jón Ketilsson on Sunday 27th February.
